Help Them Come Home

Help us share powerful conversion stories and disciple men and women on the journey home.

It has become a trite saying—that we are all called to be converts—but it is true. Baptism, confirmation, confession, attending Mass, and receiving the Eucharist needs to be accompanied by a growing faith in Jesus Christ, a living out of our baptismal call by being in a state of sanctifying grace, habitually talking to our Lord in prayer, and a reaching out to others in love.

This all represents, not a one-time but rather a life-long conversion, and this is what the Coming Home Network International is all about. In addition to helping non-Catholic Christians come home to the Catholic Church, we’re about helping all of our members come home fully to Christ and His Church and to share their faith with the world.

Learn More About Our Mission of Conversion & Reunion

Certainly, every convert is a gift to the Church and represents a serious responsibility for her…especially in the case of adults, such converts bring with them a kind of new energy, an enthusiasm for the faith and a desire to see the Gospel lived out in the Church. They would be greatly disappointed if , having entered the ecclesial community, they were to find a life lacking fervor and without signs of renewal! We cannot preach conversion unless we ourselves are converted anew every day. John Paul II, Redemptoris Missio, 47

What if converts and lifelong Catholics worked to rebuild Christian unity one friendship, one conversation, one prayer request, and one conversion story at a time?

Our Lord called us to be His disciples and “to make disciples of all nations.” He also warned us that “Everyone to whom much is given, of him will much be required” (Lk 12:48). If you and I have received, by grace, faith in Jesus Christ, and by baptism membership in His Mystical Body, the Church, then we have indeed been given much—more than most people in the world! Think about that. More than 75% of the world are living their lives apart from the Catholic Church and her sacraments—and Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you” (Jn 6:53)! And more than half of the world claims to have no faith in Jesus Christ—yet Jesus affirmed, “no one comes to the Father except by me” (Jn 14:6b). There is much for us to do, and to do together.

We need your partnership in the Coming Home Network.

Our mission is to share the stories of how the Holy Spirit led us to the Catholic Church, to charitably and clearly dialogue with other Christians, and to personally disciple those who similarly embark on the journey home to full communion with the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. Together we can ensure that every Christian who experiences the movement of grace has fellowship and support in coming home and then being at home in the Catholic Church.

Here is what makes the CHNetwork a vital and unique part of the Church’s outreach to other Christians:

Since 1993, we’ve worked directly with several thousand non-Catholic clergy and laity who have made the decision to become Catholic, and we’ve reached hundreds of thousands more through the stories and resources we have shared in print, on television and radio, and through internet media.

We stand beside them, always here, to encourage and answer their questions by phone, mail, email, this website, and in person when possible.

We help them spiritually — praying with them and offering up prayer for their intentions.

We provide them with FREE resources to help them on their journey — newsletters, books, CDs, DVDs, etc.

We help the Church in Her evangelistic outreach by proclaiming to our separated brethren, through media (television and radio) and resources, the fullness of the Gospel in the Catholic Faith.

We help them in fellowship — putting them in touch with other clergy or lay converts from similar faith backgrounds whenever possible. This gives them someone they can talk to, relate with, and lean on for moral support.

We help them discern how to continue using their gifts, training, and experience for the salvation of souls and the greater glory of God.

We try our best to help clergy converts find new employment so they can support themselves and their families. We help them re-discern their calling in the completely new context of being Catholic, and even help them revise their resumes and provide tips on their career transition.
